These Terms & Conditions govern your use of The Run of Hope website and your participation in the Run of Hope Liberty Torch Relay. By using this Website, registering for the Event, or purchasing a Torchbearer place, you agree to these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”).

1. About Us

The Run of Hope Liberty Torch Relay (“the Event,” “Run of Hope,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a running event spanning 77 cities across the United States, beginning in Miami on July 4, 2027. The Event is commercially organized and operated, and is intended to be held annually. We are permitted to promote a number of charitable causes on this Website; this promotion does not constitute a formal partnership, sponsorship, or donation arrangement unless expressly stated.

2. Use of This Website

You agree to use this Website only for lawful purposes, and in a way that does not infringe upon the rights of others or interfere with the operation of the Website.

3. Event Registration

 * Registration is subject to availability. Torchbearer places are limited to 101 per city (7,777 total).

 * Submitting a registration does not guarantee participation until your registration is accepted and any applicable payment has been received.

 * Registrants under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian complete registration on their behalf and provide consent.

 * We reserve the right to decline or revoke a registration where information provided is false or incomplete, or where a participant’s conduct threatens the safety or integrity of the Event.

 * Participants must comply with all event rules, instructions, and safety requirements.

4. Payments

 * All prices are displayed in USD unless otherwise stated.

 * The Torchbearer registration fee is priced as shown at checkout.

 * Installment payment plans are offered as a convenience. Failure to complete scheduled installments may result in suspension of your registration or forfeiture of your Torchbearer place, at our discretion.

 * Registration fees are subject to the refund policy stated during registration.

 * All payments are processed through third-party payment providers. We do not control and are not responsible for outages or errors on the part of payment processors.

5. Cancellations and Changes to the Event

 * We reserve the right to amend routes, schedules, locations, dates, or event details where necessary due to weather, safety, operational requirements, or circumstances beyond our control.

 * If a city relay is postponed, relocated, or cancelled for reasons beyond our control, we will make reasonable efforts to offer an alternative date, transfer, or partial refund, at our discretion.

6. Assumption of Risk

Participation in a running event carries inherent physical risk. By registering, you acknowledge these risks and confirm you are physically able to participate, or have obtained appropriate medical clearance to do so.

7. Honor Programs

Nominations for Defenders of Liberty and Hometown Heroes are subject to our review and selection process. Submission of a nomination does not guarantee inclusion, and we reserve the right to decline or remove a nomination at our discretion.

8. Code of Conduct

Participants, volunteers, and attendees are expected to conduct themselves respectfully. We reserve the right to remove any individual from the Event, without refund, for conduct that endangers others, violates applicable law, or is inconsistent with the spirit of the Event.
