PRESS & MEDIA

The Run of Hope Liberty Torch Relay is an extraordinary celebration of freedom, liberty, service, unity and hope, bringing people and communities together across the United States through one of the most ambitious relay events of its kind.
Beginning at Miami’s Freedom Tower on July 4, 2029, the Liberty Torch will travel through 77 cities across America, carried by 7,777 Liberty Torchbearers along a route inspired by the Stars and Stripes.
Media organizations, journalists, broadcasters, photographers, podcasters and content creators are invited to follow the journey and help share the stories of the people and communities carrying the flame.

ABOUT THE RUN OF HOPE

The Run of Hope Liberty Torch Relay was created as a celebration of seven principles:
Freedom • Liberty • The American Dream • Service • Health & Fitness • Unity • Peace
At the heart of the relay is the Liberty Torch, a handcrafted ceremonial torch made from steel and copper, with its flame section plated in 24-carat gold.
From Miami, the relay will travel through 77 cities, creating a route across America inspired by Old Glory.
In each city, members of the public will carry the Liberty Torch alongside honorary Torchbearers representing service, courage, leadership and their communities.
